Regional gasoline prices have risen about 20 cents during the past month and about six to seven cents in the past week, according to AAA. The national average price was $3.50 late Friday for a gallon of regular unleaded, or 15 cents higher one month ago. The average price in Tennessee was $3.21 while the Virginia average was $3.36. Tennessee's average price is seven cents more than one week ago and 21 cents more than last month. In Virginia, the statewide average is also up seven cents in a week and 23 cents higher since last month, according to AAA.
