KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) _ Eastman Chemical Co. (EMN) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $256 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier. On a per-share basis, the Kingsport, Tennessee-based company said it had profit of $2.03. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $2.83 per share. The results beat Wall Street expectations.
