KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) _ Eastman Chemical Co. (EMN) on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings of $301 million. The Kingsport, Tennessee-based company said it had profit of $2.46 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $2.05 per share. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2 per share. The specialty chemicals maker posted revenue of $2.71 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts.
